Dubbed the Active Kids program, the two vouchers are provided to parents, guardians and carers of school-enrolled children to use towards sport and active recreation costs each year.

The current crop of vouchers is available from 1 January 2023 and valid to claim to Friday 30 June 2023.

Caregivers can find participating organisations through the Service NSW website, inputting postcode or suburb, sports or activity type, or the provider's name.

Everything from AFL to wrestling is available; there are also options for disabilities and deaf children.

How to get $200 NSW Active Kids vouchers

Caregivers will need to apply online through the MyServiceNSW account and follow the prompts to get the vouchers.

They can also get the voucher through the Service NSW App. If successful, the vouchers can be found under the 'Vouchers' tab in the app.

They will need to provide proof of identity, and also provide the child's Medicare card details.

There is also the option to provide the child's height and weight (not mandatory).

How to use the vouchers

  1. Choose an eligible provider
  2. At registration or payment time, provide the following information through the provider's preferred process:
    • Child's full name
    • Child's date of birth
    • Active Kids voucher number

If the activity costs less than $100, the remaining balance is forfeited and can't be used.
